LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage: C9 dominates over North America
The North American League of Legends summer league will resume on July 18. For now, the teams have played 5/9 Weeks of the group stage. Eight out of ten participants will advance further, but where the teams will start the playoffs depends only on them. Two group winners will go to the semifinals, 3-6 place will advance to upper bracket quarterfinals, 7-8 place will wait for the opponents to drop into the Losers’ Round 1.
LCS Group Stage results in Week 1-5
At the moment, Cloud9 is an absolute dominator of the LCS Summer 2020 group stage. Even in these unpredictable bo1 matches, the team has been defeated only once out of 10 games. The only loss happened in the most recent match with 100 Thieves. Team Liquid is currently in second place with 8-2 records. Liquid has lost to EG and C9 but defeated 100 Thieves, CLG, TSM, and other top teams.

On the 3-8 places, we can see the teams that have around an equal number of won and lost matches. The top-3 is concluded by Team SoloMid with 6-4 records. FlyQuest, Counter Logic Gaming and Evil Geniuses have 5-5 records. Meanwhile, Golden Gladiators and 100 Thieves both currently have negative 4-6 records.
The LCS group stage relegation zone currently features Dignitas and Immortals. Both teams have 2-8 records. Dignitas has won two the most recent matches with Immortals and FlyQuest, but they are still a way to go on the path towards the playoffs. Immortals has defeated Golden Guardians and surprisingly beat TSM last week. Will any of these two teams manage to get to the playoffs? Leave your opinion in the comments.
