Currency & Conversions
First things first—let's talk currency. In Wuthering Waves, Astrites are your primary premium currency. You earn them through events, quests, and exploration. Here's how Astrites convert to pulls:
- Lustrous Tide (Character Banner Pulls) - Used for limited character banners
- Radiant Tide (Weapon Banner Pulls) - Used for limited weapon banners
- Forging Tide (Standard Banner Pulls) - Used for the permanent banner
Generally, 160 Astrites = 1 pull. You can convert Astrites to whichever specific Tide you need in the shop.
Pity System Explained
Character Banners: You're guaranteed a 5-star character within 80 pulls. The first 5-star has a 50% chance to be the featured character. If you lose the 50/50, your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured character.
Weapon Banners: Also have 80-pull pity, but when you get a 5-star weapon, it's 100% guaranteed to be one of the two featured weapons on the banner.
Banner Types
Limited Banners: These feature exclusive characters and weapons that rotate every 3 weeks. Once the banner ends, you'll have to wait for a rerun (which can take months).
Standard Banner: A permanent banner with a rotating pool of characters and weapons that never leaves. However, it's generally not recommended to spend Astrites here—save them for limited banners!
Beginner Banner: New players get a discounted banner with guaranteed pulls at reduced rates. If you're starting fresh, don't skip this!

Alright, here's where things get exciting—but also a bit speculative. This info comes from leaks and datamines, so take it with a grain of salt. Things can change, but this should give you a solid idea of what's on the horizon!
Version 3.3
Expected Characters:
- Dania—A Fusion loli Sub-DPS, rumored to be a new teammate option for Mornye and Aemeath compositions.
- White-Haired Shrine Maiden—Glacio Main DPS using Broadblade. The Ice Main DPS we've been waiting for! She'll likely pair beautifully with Lucilla from v3.2.
- Delifa (Possible)—A pink-haired NPC who looks like an adult version of Encore. She'll debut in a motorcycle paint quest and may become playable.
Version 3.4 - Cyberpunk Edgerunners Collab!
This is HUGE! Wuthering Waves is collaborating with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to bring two fan-favorite characters into the game:
- Lucy (Lucyna Kushinada)—Spectro Hybrid DPS. She uses her iconic monowire weapon for high-speed, precision combat. Think of her as a "scalpel" on the battlefield—tactical, agile, and deadly.
- Rebecca—Havoc Support. She's equipped with dual pistols and brings pure chaos with explosive burst damage and wild movement. She's the "shotgun" to Lucy's precision strikes!
Whether you're a Cyberpunk fan or just love unique character designs, this collab is going to be legendary.
Version 3.5 - Return to Huanglong
Expected Characters:
- Yangyang SP—The first-ever SP character in Wuthering Waves! Ever since she wrote about watching flowers together next year, it feels like this moment has finally arrived. As the game's first SP-tier character, she's bound to shake up the meta significantly.
- White-Robed Sword Immortal—Glacio Support, mentioned early on by Buling. Rumored to be Qiu Yuan's colleague, representing the "Jianghu Dream" aesthetic.
Version 3.6 - Welcome to Mengzhou!
Expected Characters:
- Hsin (The Moon Fairy)—The True Sentinel! She's heavily connected to the Moon-Chasing Festival and is expected to be a Glacio Purifier. Remember the first Moon-Chasing Festival gave us Shorekeeper for free? Veterans are hyped to see what Hsin brings!
- 5-Star Male DPS—Element TBC, but he'll banner alongside Hsin.
Version 3.7
Expected Characters:
- Glacio Hybrid DPS character—With both sustained damage and support capabilities. Details are scarce, but based on the pattern, this could be another strong Ice element addition to the roster.

Must-Pull Recommendations
Resource Planning 101
Here's the reality: as a F2P or low-spender, you can't get everyone. Here's how to maximize your pulls:
- Monthly Income: On average, expect about 30-40 pulls per version update from events, dailies, and exploration.
- Save Smartly: If you want a character three versions away, start saving now.
- Reruns Happen: Missing a character isn't the end of the world. Most limited characters return within 4-6 months.
- Weapons Can Wait: Characters > Weapons, always. A character with a 4-star weapon beats no character at all.
Pro Tip: Don't pull just because a character looks cool (okay, maybe sometimes). Think about your roster needs. Are you lacking DPS? Healers? Specific elements for certain content? Pull strategically!
Understanding Rerun Patterns
Wuthering Waves typically reruns characters every 3-4 versions. Watch for:
- Characters who haven't appeared in 4+ versions
- Anniversary periods (expect popular character reruns)
- Story relevance (characters tied to ongoing story arcs often rerun)
Frequently Asked Questions
🌟 Final Thoughts
What an amazing journey Wuthering Waves has planned for us this year! It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all the cool characters—from the lovely Mornye to the iconic faces of the Cyberpunk crossover—but there’s truly a perfect Resonator for every type of player.
A Friendly Reminder: Take your time and play at your own pace. Pull for the characters you genuinely enjoy playing, and don't let the 'meta' stress you out—reruns will always come back around. We’ll keep you posted on every update and leak right here. Happy adventuring, Rovers, and may all your wishes turn gold!
