If you want to earn Season Points (SP) fast in FC 27, playing more Ultimate Team matches isn't necessarily the quickest way forward. Several Career Mode objectives offer sizeable SP rewards, and some can be completed without playing every minute of every match. Clearing those tasks before settling into your daily Ultimate Team routine can save you a considerable amount of time.
The main target here is OTW Maxence Lacroix, available at Season 1 Premium Pass Level 7. You need 7,000 SP to reach that level, along with access to the premium reward track to claim the card. Manager Live challenges, Player Career highlights, and Ultimate Team objectives all contribute to the same Season Pass, so you can switch between modes rather than relying on one long match grind.
The biggest difference between these methods is how much of the match you actually need to play. Manager Live allows simulated results to satisfy certain challenge conditions, Player Career highlights let you work toward individual match targets, and the Manager Career weekly task requires five full matches. Knowing where simulation works is what makes this route practical.
Which SP Tasks Should You Finish First?
Start by opening the FC Hub and checking your current Season Points and unfinished objectives. If you're starting from zero, Manager Live and Player Career are sensible places to begin because their weekly groups offer 2,250 SP combined. Manager Career adds another 1,200 SP, bringing the three Career groups to 3,450 SP before you count anything earned in Ultimate Team.
The order depends on what you've already completed. If your Manager Career objective is sitting at four out of five matches, finishing that last fixture is more useful than opening a new save. If you're starting fresh and only have a short session available, Player Career highlights or a Manager Live challenge will fit more easily into your time.

Weekly objective rewards can only be collected once during their active cycle. After finishing a Career group, move to another unfinished source instead of repeating the same activity and expecting another payout. Ultimate Team match SP works differently, giving you a daily allowance to collect through eligible games even after the associated objective rewards have been claimed.
Three Manager Live Challenges Worth 1,000 SP
The Manager Live weekly objective awards 600 SP for completing three challenges, followed by a 400 SP group reward. Transfer Savvy, Winning Start, and Top at Christmas are useful for this route because each has a clear target that you can work toward with relatively little active match time.
You don't need to build a long-term managerial save for these tasks. Set up the challenge, meet its conditions, and collect the SP once completion registers. Transfers and simulated results can occasionally slow things down, so check your progress before assuming a challenge has finished.
Transfer Savvy: Make Sure the Transfer Actually Goes Through
Transfer Savvy requires at least $1 million in transfer profit. Select an established club such as Arsenal, advance until suitable offers arrive, and use the Transfer Hub to negotiate an outgoing deal. The club gives you players who can attract interest, but the challenge still depends on a transfer being completed.
Accepting a bid doesn't automatically finish the task. If the player rejects the move or negotiations break down, the sale won't count toward your target. Keep advancing until the transfer is finalized, then check the challenge status before moving on. If the deal falls through, try another offer or player rather than restarting the entire save immediately.
Winning Start: Score First, Then Simulate
Winning Start asks for three league wins by September 13 on the in-game calendar without suffering a defeat. Arsenal works for this approach, with Beginner difficulty and three-minute halves keeping the active part of each fixture short. Rather than using Quick Sim from kickoff, play the opening minutes and try to establish a two- or three-goal lead before simulating the rest.
Building a lead gives you some control over the result, although simulation can still produce an unexpected finish. Check the league results separately from cup or European fixtures, since those victories do not replace the three league wins required here. If you're approaching the deadline and still need a result, playing the next league match yourself may be quicker than risking a failed attempt and starting again.
Top at Christmas: Use PSG and Keep an Eye on the Table
Top at Christmas takes longer on the in-game calendar, but most of that time can be handled through simulation. Select Paris Saint-Germain, set Board Expectations to No Sacking, and decline the preseason invitation. Keep Beginner difficulty and three-minute halves available in case you need to take control of an important match. Advance toward December 25 while dealing with messages and other interruptions as they appear. PSG's starting squad makes the club convenient for this route, though a strong team doesn't guarantee first place after simulation. Check the standings as Christmas approaches, particularly if another club is keeping pace despite your unbeaten run. Too many draws can leave you behind, so take over an upcoming fixture if you need the points.
Once you've reached the required date at the top of the league, advance until the completion notification appears. Return to the FC Hub and collect the available rewards rather than continuing the save simply because the calendar still has matches remaining.
Use Player Career Highlights to Earn 1,250 SP
The Player Career weekly objective asks for 10 individual match objectives, not 10 full matches. Completing the task gives you 500 SP, with another 750 SP available from the group reward. Since one appearance can satisfy several targets, highlights are a convenient way to make progress without playing every fixture from kickoff to the final whistle.
Start a new Player Career with current squads and choose Play as Real Player. Select someone with substitute status, set Beginner difficulty and three-minute halves, then advance toward the first fixture. Keep an eye on the squad-status bar while moving through the calendar. If your standing starts to drop, add and simulate training drills to help maintain the substitute role used for this approach.
Check Your Match Objectives Before Playing the Highlights
Enter the highlights option that gives you control of your selected player, then pause to inspect the objectives. A completed pass, a goal, and reaching a required match rating can all count as separate targets. Knowing what the game wants before the next sequence starts helps you avoid wasting a scoring chance when you only need a pass, or forcing unnecessary attacks when the objective is already complete. Enhanced objectives also have their own requirements. Meeting the basic target doesn't necessarily satisfy the enhanced version, so read both before deciding which actions to focus on during the match.
Use the Weekly Counter, Not Just the Post-Match Screen
The post-match results screen isn't always the same as your weekly objective progress. You might complete three targets during an appearance but see only two added to the weekly counter. Check the total after each match instead of assuming that a certain number of appearances will be enough.
Keep completing qualifying highlights until the counter reaches 10, then collect the individual and group rewards. This is especially useful when you're close to finishing: one more short appearance may be all you need for the remaining SP, rather than another full fixture.
Make Your Ultimate Team Matches Count Toward Multiple Objectives
Eligible Ultimate Team matches award 15–100 SP each, depending on the mode and result, up to a daily match-SP cap of 850. You can work toward that allowance through regular matches, but the more useful approach is to combine match rewards with unfinished objectives. Before entering a game, check whether you can advance a Daily task, a Weekly requirement, or a Seasonal counter at the same time. A match that counts toward several objectives gives you more progress than one played purely for its end-of-game SP. If you've already reached the daily match cap, turn to unfinished objective rewards rather than continuing to play solely for Season Points.
Use Squad Battles at a manageable difficulty if you prefer AI opponents, or play Rivals if online matches are already part of your routine. There isn't a fixed number of games that guarantees the full 850 SP, since payouts vary. Choose the mode that also moves your remaining objective counters forward, and check any mode restrictions before starting.
Clear Foundations While Building Your Club
Foundations offers several one-time SP rewards through introductory Ultimate Team activities. Open Total Football and inspect the tasks linked to your starter league, paying attention to the individual payouts as well as the group reward. Some requirements can be handled during normal club setup, while others need specific matches or actions. FC 27's launch Foundations also include tasks connected to Live Events, SBCs, and club management. Check whether an unfinished task asks you to change your formation, apply a Chemistry Style, complete an eligible SBC, or enter a particular event. If you're already planning to do that activity, collect the SP while you're there rather than saving every Foundations objective for a separate session.
A little care is useful with SBC-related tasks. Don't submit valuable items purely because an objective exists without first checking its reward and requirements. If you're only trying to reach Level 7, an inexpensive unfinished objective may be more practical than spending club resources on a task whose main reward isn't SP.
Combine Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal Progress
Daily play-and-score tasks fit naturally into the same matches used for weekly wins and seasonal goals. Launch Seasonal Objectives include targets such as scoring 16 goals and playing 12 matches, so check which counters you can advance together. You don't need to treat each objective as a separate grind when one eligible match can contribute to several of them.
Some weekly tasks involve club activities rather than matches. If you have an unfinished Transfer Market requirement, there is little reason to keep queuing for games in the hope that it progresses. Check the wording in the FC Hub, complete the activity it actually asks for, and collect the group reward once the full set is done.
New player objectives are also worth checking, but don't confuse a player reward with a Season Points reward. A useful Player Item may help your squad, yet it won't close the gap to Lacroix unless SP is listed among the rewards.
The Grounds Can Provide Extra Season Pass Progress
If you're playing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, or Nintendo Switch 2, The Grounds gives you another way to work toward Season Pass rewards. Open its objectives through the World Map or FC Hub and check which activities currently offer Season Pass progress. The mode isn't available on PS4 or Xbox One, so those players will need to use the other routes covered here. Depending on the active objectives, you may find tasks linked to Kickabouts, Drop Kick targets, Clubs matches, or other activities. Some require several appearances or participation with other players, so don't assume they're faster than Career objectives just because they take place outside a full 11v11 match.
Check the reward before committing your time. Grounds Coins, Archetype XP, cosmetics, and Season Pass progress are different rewards, and not every Grounds activity will add to your 7,000 SP target. If you're already playing with friends, though, overlapping Grounds objectives can give you additional progress without forcing another Ultimate Team session.
Manager Career: Five Full Matches for 1,200 SP
The Manager Career weekly group offers 1,200 SP, making it useful when you're ready to commit to a longer session. All five matches must be completed on the same save, and this route uses Beginner difficulty with three-minute halves. Set aside roughly 30–40 minutes, including the time needed to get through menus and match transitions.
Unlike the Manager Live challenges, scoring early and simulating the rest doesn't satisfy this task. You have to let each match reach its final whistle. The requirement is to play rather than win, so conceding a goal or losing a fixture isn't a reason to restart the save.
You can keep active input fairly low once a fixture is underway, although halftime and other prompts still need attention. An early goal is optional; there's no need to chase a particular score if the objective only asks you to complete the match. Stick with the same save until all five fixtures register, then return to the FC Hub for your rewards.
This group is easier to handle when you have enough time to finish it in one sitting. If you only need a small amount of SP to reach Level 7, check the other unfinished objectives before starting a fresh five-match run.
How to Close the Remaining Gap to OTW Lacroix
You don't need to complete every available FC 27 objective to claim Lacroix. The target is 7,000 SP, so start with your actual Season total and work out how much is still missing. If you've completed the three Career groups covered above, you'll have earned 3,450 SP from those rewards alone.

This isn't a reason to force yourself to hit the match cap every day. If a Foundations group or an unfinished weekly objective can cover the remaining gap with less playtime, finish that instead. Your Season total matters more than how many different methods you've completed.
Plan Around the Time You Actually Have
For a short session, focus on an objective that's already close to completion. Player Career highlights and shorter Manager Live challenges are easier to fit around limited playtime, while the five full Manager Career matches are better saved for a longer session.
If you're only 200 SP away from Level 7, there's little reason to start a fresh Career group worth 1,200 SP unless you also want to play that mode. Check the smaller objective rewards first, or use eligible Ultimate Team matches if you haven't exhausted the daily allowance. Once the Season total reaches the required level, the SP grind for Lacroix is finished.
Why Isn't Your FC 27 SP Progress Counting?
Before repeating an activity that appears to have finished, check its exact completion condition. Several of these objectives look similar on the surface but count different things. A simulated fixture may work in Manager Live while failing to satisfy the full-match requirement in Manager Career, and a completed Player Career target may not always add to the weekly counter in the way you expect.

If the requirement appears complete but your Season total hasn't moved, return to the FC Hub and look for rewards waiting to be claimed. Keep the daily match cap separate from objective rewards as well. Reaching 850 match SP doesn't prevent you from earning additional SP through unfinished qualifying objectives.
Claim OTW Lacroix Before Season 1 Ends
FC 27 Season 1: Ones to Watch runs through October 22, 2026. Check the in-game countdown before leaving your final objectives until the last session, particularly if you're relying on weekly tasks that may expire or refresh before the season finishes. Season Points and Reward Level reset when a new season begins, so your current progress will not carry over. Reach 7,000 SP and claim Lacroix before the season ends.
At 7,000 SP, open the Season screen in the FC Hub and select the Level 7 reward. If Lacroix is still locked, check your edition and Premium Pass access. Earning the required SP unlocks the level, but it doesn't automatically grant premium rewards to an account without the premium track. If you haven't activated Premium Pass yet, check the available upgrade options in the FC Hub. Premium access can be added after you've already made progress, allowing you to claim eligible premium rewards from previously reached levels. Once both the level and premium access requirements are met, claim Lacroix and check your Ultimate Team inventory.
