The Crystal Event is easy to understand on the surface: earn Crystal Ore, upgrade the Factory, collect Amethyst Crystal, fight the Boss, then spend what you earned. The catch is that a few small decisions have a much bigger effect than they first appear to. Upgrade the Crystal Factory too slowly and you lose days of extra production; rush into three Crystal Boss attempts without setting up properly and you may waste your best chances to push a higher weekly damage tier.
The whole event runs on two main resources. Crystal Ore is used to upgrade the Crystal Factory, while Amethyst Crystal comes from Factory production and Crystal Boss rewards before being spent in the Crystal Shop. For most accounts, the best approach is not complicated: push Factory levels early, collect often enough to avoid the storage cap, and treat each Boss attempt as a damage check rather than something to burn through quickly.
When Does the Crystal Event Unlock?
The Crystal Factory becomes available once your server has reached Day 1 of the Season 1 Pre-Season and your Base is at least Lv.20. The Crystal Boss opens once the server has reached Day 1 of Season 1, again with a Lv.20 Base requirement. These are server-progression checkpoints, so older servers that have already moved into later seasons still qualify.
The event runs for 60 days, and almost every related feature is handled through the Crystal Factory. The Crystal Shop and Crystal Boss can both be accessed from there, so once the building appears in your Base, it effectively becomes the control center for the entire event.
| Feature | Unlock Requirement | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal Factory | Season 1 Pre-Season Day 1+, Base Lv.20+ | Produces Amethyst Crystal |
| Crystal Ore | Daily Task rewards | Upgrades the Crystal Factory |
| Crystal Shop | Accessed through the Factory | Trades Amethyst Crystal for rewards |
| Crystal Boss | Season 1 Day 1+, Base Lv.20+ | Provides weekly and seasonal rewards |
How Does the Crystal Factory Work?
The Crystal Factory passively produces Amethyst Crystal, including while you are offline. At Lv.1, it generates 4 Amethyst Crystal every 3 hours, which comes to roughly 32 per day as long as production never stops. Its initial storage window is 48 hours, and once that limit is reached, any extra production is simply lost.
Building the Factory costs only 60 Food and 60 Iron and takes 3 seconds, so delaying the first build does not really make sense. What matters more is getting into the habit of collecting from it. Once a day is more than enough to stay clear of the 48-hour cap, and it removes one of the easiest ways to leak value over a 60-day event.
How Far Should You Upgrade the Crystal Factory?
For most accounts, picking an arbitrary stopping level early is the wrong way to think about the Factory. Crystal Ore is primarily there to raise production, and every level bought early has more time to pay you back. Hoarding Ore while your Factory sits at a low output rate may feel safe, but those missed Amethyst ticks cannot be recovered later.

The first upgrade makes that pretty obvious. Going from Lv.1 to Lv.2 costs 2,000 Crystal Ore and doubles production from 4 to 8 Amethyst every 3 hours. That sounds modest in isolation, but the extra income keeps repeating for the rest of the event, which is why early upgrades are much more valuable than the same upgrade made near the end.
Where Does Crystal Ore Come From?
Crystal Ore comes from Daily Missions and Daily Task progress chests. There are five progress chests each day, and clearing all of them gives a total of 6,400 Crystal Ore. Under the current upgrade costs, that is enough to push the Factory to Lv.4 on the first day.
| Daily Task Chest | Crystal Ore |
|---|---|
| 1st Chest | 600 |
| 2nd Chest | 1,000 |
| 3rd Chest | 1,200 |
| 4th Chest | 1,600 |
| 5th Chest | 2,000 |
| Total | 6,400 per day |
Do not wait for some hidden multiplier before claiming it. The One More profession skill does not increase Crystal Ore, and building-cost reduction skills do not lower the Ore cost of Factory upgrades either. In practice, Daily Tasks are the bottleneck, so missing those chests hurts more than almost any small optimization elsewhere in the event.
What Should You Buy in the Crystal Shop?
The Crystal Shop is where Amethyst Crystal turns into useful account rewards. Current stock includes Diamonds, Mobilization Coupons, Gold Bricks, Silver Bricks, and a Weekly Pass [Take All] Voucher. Purchase limits reset on the 1st of every month, so holding a large balance right before reset can mean missing a chance to buy limited stock.
| Reward | Amount | Cost | Monthly Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 Diamonds | 1 | 500 Amethyst Crystal | 80 |
| Mobilization Coupon | 1 | 500 Amethyst Crystal | 20 |
| Gold Brick | 500 | 5,000 Amethyst Crystal | 6 |
| Silver Brick | 5,000 | 5,000 Amethyst Crystal | 12 |
| Weekly Pass [Take All] Voucher | 1 | 20,000 Amethyst Crystal | 1 |
For weaker or newer accounts, the 500-Amethyst rewards are much easier to reach consistently. Gold Bricks and the Weekly Pass Voucher ask for a much larger balance, so their value depends more heavily on how far you have pushed the Factory and how much Amethyst you can pull from the Boss each week. The real mistake is not choosing one item over another by a tiny margin; it is sinking thousands of Amethyst into a reward you do not actually plan to use.
Are Silver Bricks Actually Worth Buying?
Silver Bricks are where the shop gets a little less straightforward. They are not a general-purpose currency like Gold Bricks, and buying them only makes sense if you already have somewhere to spend them. Their main use is in dedicated Silver Brick packs tied to events such as Bullseye Loot, Glittering Market, and Bounty Hunter.
That can be useful if those events are already part of your normal resource plan. Recent player discussion has focused heavily on whether Silver Bricks are better pushed into ammo-related rewards or Glittering Market, especially for accounts chasing blueprint progression. The ammo route can look better when blueprints are the only target, while Glittering Market gives you more room to choose between different rewards.
Unless you are already planning around one of those event shops, there is no need to grab Silver Bricks just because they are new. A pile of special currency sitting unused is still a pile of unused currency. Gold Bricks, Diamonds, or other direct rewards are easier to justify when you know exactly what they are doing for your account.
How Does the Crystal Boss Work?

The Crystal Boss appears on the World Map from Monday through Saturday and remains available for 23 hours. Each Commander gets up to 3 challenges per day. These are solo troop dispatches rather than Rally attacks, and once a march is sent, it cannot be recalled.
The fight is split into five phases: Weapon, Radar, Chip, Armor, and Core. Difficulty rises as you move through them, but normal troop-counter mechanics do not apply here. That means you should not swap into Tank, Aircraft, or Missile just to chase the usual counter triangle; raw squad strength and Crystal Boss-specific bonuses are what matter.
- 3 attacks per day.
- Available Monday through Saturday.
- No Rally attacks.
- Dispatched troops cannot be recalled.
- Normal troop-counter mechanics do not apply.
- Weekly damage rewards use your best single attack.
Which Buffs Work Against the Crystal Boss?
A lot of buffs players normally associate with boss damage are turned off here. War Fever, Charge Battle Flag, Tactics Card active skills, PvE Tactics Cards, Season Military Rank bonuses, and fish buffs do not apply. Protectors also cannot be used during season play, while War Leader's morale effect barely moves the needle because the Boss starts with very little morale.
That means you can stop worrying about stacking every temporary effect before marching. Drone chips still work, and the Enchanted Fungus base skin gives a flat +5% damage bonus while equipped. More importantly, the Crystal Boss has its own hero deployment bonuses, and those usually matter far more than the usual collection of temporary buffs.
What Is the Best Team for the Crystal Boss?

A normal Wanted Boss lineup is not automatically the answer here. The Crystal Event rewards a full single-troop-type squad, and sending five heroes of the same troop type gives an extra +30% Attack damage. On paper, one off-type hero may look stronger individually, but breaking the full-type bonus can leave the whole march worse off.
The second layer comes from the Extra Bonus panel. Certain Defense Heroes can provide +20% damage to allied units, and those bonuses can stack. Since the eligible heroes can change, checking the panel before each attack is much safer than assuming the same five heroes will stay optimal all week.
For most players, the cleanest approach is to start with the troop type you have already invested in the most, then work eligible Defense Heroes into that lineup when the numbers make sense. Do not tear apart a finished main squad just to make the formation look perfect on paper. Event bonuses are strong, but they still multiply the damage your heroes can actually produce.
Should You Replace a Strong Hero Just for the Event Bonus?
Not by default. A fully built UR hero can still beat a much weaker replacement even if the weaker option helps you tick another bonus box. The better way to judge the swap is to compare the complete formation, not just the bonus percentage shown on the event screen.
This matters even more for accounts with one well-developed main squad and thinner backup rosters. A technically cleaner mono-type team is not automatically better if two of those heroes are under-starred, under-skilled, or poorly equipped. If the upgrade is only marginal, keep the stronger investment and save your resources for changes that actually move your damage tier.
How Are Weekly Crystal Boss Rewards Calculated?
Weekly Progress looks like it should reward repeated attacking, but the damage side does not work that way. Your highest single-hit damage is what counts. If your three attempts deal 8B, 6B, and 5B, the game does not add them together into 19B; your weekly damage progress is based on the 8B hit.
That makes preparation much more valuable than simply using attempts as fast as possible. Your first march should already be a serious damage attempt, not a throwaway test with the wrong heroes or missing bonuses. The second and third attempts are best used to beat that score, test a realistic formation change, or push yourself over the next reward threshold.
| Boss Phase | Damage Range | Damage per Step | Full Phase Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weapon Destroyed | 1.2G–2.0G | 8M | 5,000 Amethyst + 100 Speed-ups |
| Radar Destroyed | 2.0G–5.0G | 30M | 5,000 Amethyst + 100 Speed-ups |
| Chip Destroyed | 5.0G–7.2G | 22M | 5,000 Amethyst + 100 Speed-ups |
| Armor Destroyed | 7.2G–14.0G | 68M | 5,000 Amethyst + 100 Speed-ups |
| Boss Battle (Core) | 14.0G–24.5G | 105M | 5,000 Amethyst + 100 Speed-ups |
Each phase contains 100 reward steps, and every step pays 50 Amethyst Crystal and 1 Speed-up. Clearing an entire phase gives 5,000 Amethyst and 100 Speed-ups. Push a single hit to 24.5G damage or higher and you clear all five phases for 25,000 Amethyst Crystal and 500 Speed-ups that week.

Should You Still Use All Three Crystal Boss Attempts?
Yes, because the Boss has a second reward track that cares about participation. Weekly damage only looks at your best hit, but Achievement Rewards also track how many times you attack. Once your best weekly score is set, the other attempts can still help with long-term milestones and give you another chance to improve that record.
The attack-count milestones are 15, 30, 60, 100, and 140 attacks, alongside a separate single-hit damage achievement track. So the event rewards two different habits at once: hit as hard as you can for weekly progress, then keep showing up for seasonal progress. Skipping attempts because “only one hit counts” throws away half of that system.
What Should You Do Every Day During the Crystal Event?
- Clear Daily Tasks and claim every progress chest. Crystal Ore is the main gate on Factory upgrades.
- Upgrade the Factory early. Every extra production level has more time to pay you back.
- Collect Amethyst regularly. Do not let the 48-hour storage window fill.
- Check the Crystal Boss Extra Bonus panel. Eligible Defense Heroes can change.
- Build around one troop type. Keep the +30% Attack bonus whenever your roster can support it.
- Prepare before your first Boss hit. Your best single attack determines weekly damage progress.
- Use the other attempts too. They can improve your record and count toward seasonal achievements.
- Spend Amethyst before resets with a target in mind. Especially if you are close to a monthly purchase limit.
If you only keep one habit from this event, make it the Factory routine. Boss damage can improve later as your account gets stronger, but lost production days are gone for good. Getting Factory levels early makes every later shop decision easier because you simply have more Amethyst to work with.
What Happens to Your Crystals When the Event Ends?
Once the 60-day event closes, the Crystal Factory is removed, the Crystal Shop stops taking exchanges, and Daily Tasks stop giving Crystal Ore. Leftover Crystal Ore and Amethyst Crystal no longer serve their original event purpose, so finishing the event with a large unspent balance is usually a sign that something was missed.
You can recycle both currencies from Inventory at a rate of 1 Crystal Ore = 600 Coin and 1 Amethyst Crystal = 600 Coin. That is better than losing them outright, but it should be treated as cleanup rather than a target. If you can still turn Ore into production or Amethyst into limited shop rewards before the event closes, that is usually the more useful route.
What Are the Most Common Crystal Event Mistakes?
The biggest Factory mistake is simple: waiting too long to upgrade it. Players often save event currency by instinct, but Crystal Ore is one of those resources where early spending creates more value later. Letting production hit the 48-hour cap is the other easy loss, especially if you only open the event every few days.
Boss mistakes are less obvious. Three attacks do not add together for Weekly Progress, Wanted Boss lineups do not automatically carry over, and several familiar buffs are disabled. Silver Bricks can also become a trap if you buy them without knowing which event pack you want next. None of these mistakes will ruin the event on their own, but over 60 days they add up fast.
Crystal Event FAQ
What is the best Crystal Factory level to stop at?
No especially strong early stopping point appears in the current event data. As long as Crystal Ore is still improving Factory output, spending it early gives that higher production rate more time to work. If your resources are limited, focus on clearing every Daily Task chest rather than deliberately parking the Factory at a low level.
Does Crystal Boss damage stack across three attacks?
No. Weekly Progress uses your best single attack. The other attempts still matter because they can improve that score and count toward attack-based Achievement Rewards, but their damage is not added together.
Which troop type is best for the Crystal Boss?
No troop type is automatically best because normal troop counters do not apply. Use the Tank, Aircraft, or Missile lineup that gives you the strongest developed five while keeping the same-type bonus. Unless another roster is already close in investment, switching troop types just for the event usually creates more problems than it solves.
Is Silver Brick better than Gold Brick?
Not by default. Silver Bricks only become attractive when you already plan to spend them in compatible events such as Bullseye Loot, Glittering Market, or Bounty Hunter. If you do not have a clear use for those packs, Gold Bricks or more direct Crystal Shop rewards are easier to justify.
Do War Fever and Tactics Cards work on the Crystal Boss?
No. War Fever, Charge Battle Flag, Tactics Card active skills, PvE Tactics Cards, Season Military Rank bonuses, and fish buffs are disabled for this fight. Build around what actually works instead: your hero investment, drone chips, same-type formation bonus, eligible Defense Heroes, and the Enchanted Fungus base skin.
