Build Violet to solve an early frontline problem, then treat her Season 2 promotion as a separate roster decision. Her SSR kit is especially useful against monsters. Once Murphy and Williams cover your active Tank formation, a UR promotion can still help with resource recovery and later roster planning, but it does not require putting her back into the main squad.
The Monster Restriction Changes Her Skill Priority
Violet's SSR Z-Armor reduces damage she takes from monsters. Poison Gas Corrosion attacks the front two enemies and reduces their Attack, while Poison Frog Spray supplies regular Physical Damage. The gas animation does not establish a separate poison-element equipment build.

The debuff's targets matter. Reducing a low-damage enemy defender's Attack will not suppress an untouched back-row carry to the same extent. If your losses come from that carry, extra ranks in Violet's frontline attack are not automatically the most direct answer.
Keep Her in Front and Spend for That Job
An early Tank team can put Violet beside Murphy, with the developed attackers behind them. Fund Armor and Radar for her survival while directing the most important offensive equipment to your damage source. If a later defender takes her position, transfer the defensive pieces instead of rebuilding the same equipment plan from zero.
When evaluating a replacement, compare both heroes wearing the relevant gear. Leaving the best Radar on Violet while testing an unequipped Williams answers the wrong question. Equally, a low-star replacement may not yet have the effects that make a finished build attractive. A rarity label alone is not a reason to weaken a working team today.
Season 2 Promotion: Prepare the Rebuild First
The Violet promotion event opens in Season 2, week 3. You need five-star SSR Violet and a Legendary Hero Badge; the Season 2 goal at High Heat Furnace level 30 supplies that badge. Promotion keeps her EXP level, resets her to three stars and resets her skills.
Wall of Honor investments return as Violet-specific shards, and spent Skill Medals return through mail. Shards used to reach the original SSR five stars do not return. Her previous Wall contribution is removed, and reaching UR five stars again requires 1,600 Violet or universal SSR shards.

Before raising a donor solely for a future exchange, check what the actual preview moves and which target heroes qualify.
