Version 3.6 Banner Schedule Overview

The Wuthering Waves 3.6 banner schedule has now been revealed through the Version 3.6 Preview. Phase I introduces Qingxiao and reruns Denia, while Phase II introduces Jingran with Hiyuki and Mornye returning alongside him.

Version 3.6 launches on August 20, 2026. Based on the standard 21-day banner phase, Phase I is expected to run until September 10, 2026, with Phase II beginning on the same day. If Version 3.6 follows the same 21-day schedule for its second half, Jingran, Hiyuki, and Mornye are expected to remain available until October 1, 2026.

Which New Characters Are Debuting in Version 3.6?

Phase I: Qingxiao

Qingxiao is the new 5-star Resonator featured in Phase I of Wuthering Waves Version 3.6. She is an Aero main DPS who uses a Sword, and her Featured Resonator Convene is titled Wind of Transcendence. Qingxiao also plays a major role in the Version 3.6 story and is prominently featured in the new Main Quest Chapter IV Act III [Song of the Heart Sword].

Her gameplay centers on a fast stance-dancing rotation. She alternates between Sheathed Stance and Drawn Stance to build Qin Heart and Sword Spirit, then uses Heavy Attack: Stringblade to enter Ephemeral Transcendence. During this burst state, enhanced attacks build Heart Sword Intent before she finishes with Heaven's Reckoning: Ephemeral Transcendence. Her Resonance Liberation, Billows Beneath Heaven, can also be cast in mid-air for additional Aero burst damage.

Qingxiao also brings useful mobility and survivability. Her Sword Flight mechanics support aerial movement and exploration, while Swordlight Ward reduces incoming damage by 60% and grants interruption resistance during important parts of her combo. This gives her a distinctive combination of exploration utility and concentrated on-field damage.

For pull value, Qingxiao is an attractive option for players who need an Aero main DPS. Phase I also includes Denia, giving players interested in Qingxiao's broader team archetype another notable banner to consider during the same phase.

Phase II: Jingran

Jingran is the second new 5-star Resonator in Version 3.6 and headlines the Phase II Featured Resonator Convene Where Santu Beckons. He is a Fusion hyper-carry who uses a Broadblade and deals much of his meaningful damage through attacks classified as Heavy Attack DMG.

His rotation alternates between Yang Font and Yin Vessel. After building 300 Qi, he uses Stardome Meander or Soul Raid to switch states. His Resonance Liberation, Burial of Thousand Souls, activates the 15-second Yinghuo state, provides Qi and Wayfarer's Mark, and enables several empowered Heavy Attacks supported by Fire of Life and the Chimei Wangliang summon.

Jingran's defensive design is closely tied to Max HP and Shield uptime. His DEF remains at zero, but Earth Charm repeatedly refreshes a personal Shield while he deals damage. Max HP also converts into additional offensive and defensive value, making HP, Shields, healing, and Heavy Attack support particularly important when building his team.

Phase II is especially crowded because Jingran arrives alongside reruns of Hiyuki and Mornye. Players who skipped either character previously will therefore need to balance Jingran's debut against two returning limited 5-star Resonators during the same phase.

Glint of Clouds is Qingxiao's new 5-star signature Sword and will appear in the Phase I Featured Weapon Convene. The Preview confirms Glint of Clouds as the weapon's release name, replacing the earlier pre-release name Cloud Jasper that appeared in previous character data.

Current pre-release data lists the weapon with 500 Base ATK and 36% Crit. Rate at Level 90. Its effects are designed around Qingxiao's Aero damage and Tune Strain mechanics, making it the weapon most directly tailored to her damage rotation.

Phase I will also rerun Forged Dwarf Star, Denia's 5-star signature Rectifier. Players planning to pull both Qingxiao and Denia should therefore account for two separate limited weapon options during the first half of Version 3.6.

Jingran Signature Weapon: Thousandfold Deliverance

Thousandfold Deliverance is Jingran's new 5-star signature Broadblade and will headline the Phase II Featured Weapon Convene.

Current pre-release data lists it with 413 Base ATK and 72.2% HP at Level 90. Its HP-focused stat profile and Shield-related effects fit Jingran's mechanics particularly well, supporting the Max HP scaling, defensive uptime, and empowered Heavy Attacks at the center of his kit.

Phase II also brings back Frostburn, Hiyuki's signature Sword, and Starfield Calibrator, Mornye's signature Broadblade. As a result, the second half of Version 3.6 contains three separate featured 5-star weapons tied directly to the Resonators running during that phase.

Which Characters Are Rerunning in Version 3.6?

The Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 rerun characters are now confirmed as Denia, Hiyuki, and Mornye. Denia returns during Phase I alongside Qingxiao, while Hiyuki and Mornye return together during Phase II with Jingran.

This makes Version 3.6 considerably more expensive for players interested in multiple team archetypes than the earlier TBA rerun information suggested. Qingxiao competes with Denia in Phase I, while Phase II places Jingran against two returning characters at once, so deciding which role your account actually needs should take priority over collecting every featured Resonator.

New Main Quests in Version 3.6

Version 3.6 continues the Chapter IV storyline with two new Main Quest entries. The first is Chapter IV Act III [Song of the Heart Sword], with Qingxiao prominently featured in the Preview. New Echo: Calamity Effigy

Calamity Effigy is a new Echo being introduced in Version 3.6. The Version Preview shows the Echo as part of the update's new combat content, adding another option for Rovers to encounter and obtain as they progress through the new version.

New Phantom Echo

Version 3.6 also introduces Phantom - Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis. This Phantom Echo provides an alternate appearance for the Rustfire Chassis Echo and is showcased separately from Calamity Effigy in the Preview.

Tactical Hologram - Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis is the new Tactical Hologram challenge arriving with Version 3.6. The encounter features the large mechanical Rustfire Chassis enemy and expands the game's high-difficulty Hologram combat lineup with another boss-focused challenge.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 Special Events

Version 3.6 includes several limited-time activities ranging from combat and co-op challenges to leisure and exploration events. A seven-day login event is also included, giving players another reason to log in regularly throughout the update.

Resonance Sim Realm provides dedicated combat content, while If Dreams Still Reverberate focuses on featured co-op combat. Players looking for lower-pressure activities can instead participate in Second Coming of Solaris: Coded Deception and The Strings Remember, while Wuthering Exploration shifts the focus back toward exploration through Fogveil Pagoda.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 Optimizations

Version 3.6 includes a substantial collection of system and performance improvements. These changes affect the Expedition Motorbike, Echo equipment management, mobile sharing tools, Mail, and graphics performance, making this update significant even for players who are not planning to pull either new Resonator.

Expedition Motorbike Experience

New themed backgrounds are being added to the Expedition Motorbike display interface in Version 3.6. Players will be able to claim themed Motorbike backgrounds by progressing through the Main Quest, providing additional customization rewards tied directly to story progression.

Echo Management

The Echo Recommendation feature in the Echo Equipment interface is being refined to provide more precise and personalized recommendations. On mobile devices, the 10x Convene results screen will receive a new sharing feature. Players will be able to swipe left to display images of the 5-star Resonators or 5-star Weapons they obtained, making it easier to create a cleaner image for sharing after a successful pull.

The sharing function is also being expanded to additional parts of the game. Supported content will include Main Story sections in the Gallery as well as challenge results from Endstate Matrix, Whimpering Wastes, and Tower of Adversity.

Mail management is receiving several improvements as well. The maximum mailbox capacity will increase to 200 mails, and the number of attachments that can be included in a single mail will also be increased. A new Mail Collection feature will allow collected messages to be protected from bulk deletion, making it easier to preserve important in-game mail.

Graphics Performance

On PC, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation support is being upgraded to DLSS 4.5. Compared with DLSS 4, the new implementation is designed to deliver higher frame rates while reducing visual artifacts and ghosting caused by frame generation.

• Jingran: Best suited to players who want a technical Fusion Heavy Attack carry and can support his Shield- and HP-focused mechanics. His longer on-field rotation and greater dependence on team synergy make him more demanding than Qingxiao, but potentially rewarding for accounts built around his preferred playstyle.
• Denia: Phase I gives players another opportunity to obtain Denia through False Promise for Tomorrow. Players who already have enough main DPS characters may find a returning support-oriented or secondary damage character more useful than another carry.
• Hiyuki: Returns in Phase II through Thousand Futures Mirrored in Snow. Players who previously skipped her Glacio Sword playstyle will have another opportunity to obtain both Hiyuki and her signature weapon Frostburn.
• Mornye: Also returns during Phase II through Distant May the Starlights Be. As a character with broader support value, she may be worth considering for players who already have sufficient main DPS coverage and are instead looking to strengthen multiple teams.

For F2P players, Version 3.6 creates a difficult pull-planning situation because five limited 5-star Resonators appear across only two phases. Qingxiao is the more straightforward new-character target for players who specifically need an Aero carry, while Jingran is better suited to accounts prepared to support his Heavy Attack and Shield mechanics. Unless you already have enough Astrites for both a character and weapon, securing the Resonator before committing to a signature weapon remains the safer priority.
