The Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 banner schedule has now been revealed. Version 4.5, “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” will bring two new 5-star character forms: Robin • Summeretto in Phase 1 and Aventurine • Waveflair in Phase 2.
This update leans heavily into a summer vacation theme in Astropolis, with seaside visuals, new character forms, and new combat mechanics for both units. Their Paths, signature Light Cones, and rerun lineups have now been confirmed, while their final pull value will still depend on full in-game numbers and how well they fit into each account.
Version 4.5 Banner Schedule Overview

Version 4.5 will release on August 26, 2026. Phase 1 begins after the version update, while Phase 2 will start on September 12, 2026. Version 4.5 is expected to last around five weeks.
The Special Program has confirmed the featured new characters, their signature Light Cones, and the rerun lineup for both banner phases.
| Banner Phase | Dates | Featured 5-Star Character | Element | Path | Featured Light Cone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Aug. 26 – Sept. 12, 2026 | Robin • Summeretto | Wind | Remembrance | Rise and Sing |
| Phase 2 | From Sept. 12, 2026 | Aventurine • Waveflair | Quantum | Elation | Summer Rides the Surf |
At a glance, this patch has strong banner appeal. Both units are alternate forms of popular characters, and each one changes Path and combat role in a way that could affect team building. Their core mechanics have now been revealed, although exact combat values will still matter when deciding whether to pull.
Which New Characters Are Debuting in Version 4.5?
Phase 1: Robin • Summeretto
Robin • Summeretto will debut as a 5-star Wind / Remembrance character. In Astropolis, Robin appears in a new summer outfit while continuing her performance career and investigating Gopher Wood’s “legacy.” In combat, she takes the stage alongside her little bird band to provide buffs for the team.
Her teammates’ actions will accumulate Vibes for Robin • Summeretto. After she uses her Skill and her Vibes reach a certain level, she can bring the team into Fever Pitch. While in this state, allies gain buffs when attacking enemies, and Robin’s buffs become stronger as allies take action more frequently.
Her Ultimate can make one designated teammate immediately take action and regenerate Energy, while also increasing Robin’s own Vibes. This makes her confirmed gameplay direction much more focused on supporting teams that take frequent actions.
Her core mechanics are now confirmed, but full combat testing will still be needed to determine her final place in the meta. For now, the safest read is that Robin • Summeretto is a Remembrance support built around frequent ally actions and team-wide buffs.
Phase 2: Aventurine • Waveflair
Aventurine • Waveflair will arrive in Phase 2 as a 5-star Quantum / Elation character. This is a major shift from the original Aventurine, moving away from his Preservation sustain role toward an offensive Elation playstyle.
In combat, Aventurine • Waveflair attacks enemies using beach volleyball and surfing. Whenever he uses an ability or a teammate takes action, he can accumulate Punchline and Fervor.
When Fervor reaches a certain number of points, Aventurine immediately triggers an additional Elation Skill that attacks all enemies while dealing multiple instances of random single-target DMG. During the next Aha Instant, his Elation Skill is further enhanced, and the more actions the team takes, the higher its DMG becomes.
His confirmed role is therefore much closer to an action-driven Elation damage dealer than a classic sustain. That makes him especially interesting for teams that can generate frequent actions and help accelerate his Elation Skill cycle.
What New Light Cones Are Releasing in Version 4.5?
Rise and Sing
Rise and Sing is a limited 5-star Remembrance Light Cone and the signature Light Cone for Robin • Summeretto. At Level 80, it has 1,164 Base HP, 582 Base ATK, and 397 Base DEF.
At Superimposition 1, its Improvisation effect increases the wearer's Max HP by 30%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, it recovers 1 Skill Point for allies. When entering combat, it advances the wearer's action by 30% and grants New Melody for 2 turns. While the wearer has New Melody, all allies' SPD increases by 20%.
Summer Rides the Surf
Summer Rides the Surf is a limited 5-star Elation Light Cone and the signature Light Cone for Aventurine • Waveflair. At Level 80, it has 953 Base HP, 582 Base ATK, and 529 Base DEF.
At Superimposition 1, its Waveriding effect increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, they gain Updraft, increasing their SPD by 24%. If the Elation Skill used is different from the last Elation Skill used, the wearer additionally gains Uptrend, increasing their Elation by 40%. At the start of every wave or after the wearer uses their Elation Skill 3 times, the Light Cone recovers 1 Skill Point.
Which Characters Are Rerunning in Version 4.5?
The rerun characters for Version 4.5 have now been confirmed as Hyacine and Ashveil.
During Phase 1, Hyacine will rerun alongside Robin • Summeretto, with her limited 5-star Light Cone Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky also returning. Starting September 12, Ashveil will rerun alongside Aventurine • Waveflair, together with the limited 5-star Light Cone The Finale of a Lie.
This means players should consider both the new characters and returning units before spending Stellar Jades during Version 4.5.
Are the Version 4.5 Characters Worth Pulling?
-
New Characters: Potential Pull, but full in-game values still matter.
Robin • Summeretto looks like the safer general target for players who want a new support. Her confirmed kit revolves around Vibes, Fever Pitch, frequent ally actions, team buffs, and allowing a designated teammate to immediately take action while regenerating Energy.
Aventurine • Waveflair is more damage-focused. His gameplay revolves around accumulating Punchline and Fervor, triggering additional Elation Skills, and gaining more damage from frequent team actions. His value will therefore depend more heavily on whether your account can support that playstyle.
-
Rerun Characters: Hyacine and Ashveil are confirmed.
Hyacine will rerun in Phase 1, while Ashveil will return in Phase 2. Their pull value remains account-dependent, so players should compare them with Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair before committing resources.
